Lessons unlearned in childhood

As young children, most of us learn that doing something wrong or stupid and trying to excuse it by claiming little Mikey or little Ralphy told us to do it does not work with normal parents. Normal parents would challenge that excuse with a question such as “If Mikey told you to jump off a cliff, would you do that?”

George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and the rest of that gang would have us believe that their parents accepted the “blame Mikey” excuse. Little Georgy and Dicky claim they tortured people because attorneys told them to do it. What would they have done if the attorneys told them to nuke France?

We badly need a maturity test for our top government executives. Government officials learning childhood moral lessons on the job can be very costly to a nation.
